www.bradfordwilsonart.wordpress.com Going to be pointing bradfordwilson.com toward my Wordpress site at some point in the near future. Still need to add captions to the images and do other formatting work, but the layout I find to be a bit better for art-looking than the good olde Blogspot here...at least it will suffice until I build a *real* website.
In other news, I'll have a piece (Catharsis I - see 'Abstract' page) in the Toronto Audio Video Entertainment Show this weekend at the Sheraton Centre Hotel (123 Queen St. W), showing with the Brockton Collective crew, alongside some other fantastic work by students of OCAD, York University and Centennial College. http://taveshow.com/art-gallery/
Also coming up is this year's installment of the 1000 for $10 show (November 27, Studio Bar, 824 Dundas St. West, Toronto), everyone's favourite holiday art sale! I'll be contributing some fun new pieces for this year's edition. More info on the event can be found over at the show's Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/576796919114742/?fref=ts

Break-in & Theft @ Creatures Creating
A few weeks back our friends over at Creatures Creating (822 Dundas St. W, Toronto) had their gallery/studio space broken into and several works of art stolen. Attached is a flyer with details of the pilfered paintings.
This coming Thursday, March 20 a fundraiser is being held at the gallery to help with repairs and raise funds for the affected artists as well as awareness about the lost pieces.
All work will be on sale for $25 with all proceeds going to Creatures and the artists.
Come on out and show your support, and spread the word about the stolen paintings.

Happy New Year!
As promised back in December, here are some images from the last 1000 for 10 show @ Creatures Creating here in Toronto. Included are larger shots of all the work adorning the walls of the gallery plus close-ups of the work I contributed to the show. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us artists!
As you can see from the images we had an eclectic and funky mix of art up for grabs at an affordable price.
The pieces I submitted are mostly on cigar boxes, with many composed from tape, varnish, ink, acrylic paint and acrylic paint skins. I tend to mix my colours in used coffee cups. The wax coating makes it (usually) pretty easy to peel out the layers of dried paint. I've been saving up for quite some time. There are some larger paint skin collages in the works. I'll be posting images in the 'Abstract' gallery when completed.
Also included in the mix were 2 companion pieces to my long lost 'Stuff', which was stolen from the first Abstract Implications show back in 2010 @ Steam Whistle Brewery. The 2 LED wired pieces had been kicking around in my studio gathering dust for long enough. I am happy that those, along with the other pieces which sold, have found a home out there in the wider world.
Stay tuned for images of new work and here's wishing everyone a happy and productive 2014!
